Faith without action is like a lamp without light – beautiful in theory, but powerless in practice. In this blog, we will discuss the importance of putting our faith into action. Reading, listening, and adding knowledge about Scripture is not enough. Altogether with believing in God and his promises, action is also the most important element in the journey of life.
The faith that we carry is the carriage, a guiding light, and something that enhances our perspective towards the world. While the actions we practice by the Holy Spirit of faith create a proper relationship with Jesus Christ. It is just because of Him that we carry strength and wisdom in the ups and downs of practical life.
Helping and loving the people around us is the best way of putting our faith into action. Even Jesus Christ Himself spend His life in the same way. He is the best example of selfless love. He cleaned the feet of His followers, served the sick, and reached out to the weak. Being the followers of Jesus Christ, we are instructed to do the same, as His actions depict.
The actions of serving others can be done in many ways. We can help out our neighbor in need, donate to charity organizations or we can also use our talent, knowledge or skill to add value to the lives of the people.
Our faith must be represented when we showcase ourselves at the workplace, how we treat our family, or how we are socially connected.
To wrap up, converting our faith into actions can be promising. We must allow ourselves to take ourselves out of our comfort zones. When we equip ourselves for the journey of faith, we can encounter Spirit-filled happenings within ourselves. Let our faith have an impact on us and the people around us.
